Why Another Church?

Even in Salt Lake City, there are a large number of evangelical churches. The natural question is, "Why another church?" We value the fellowship and mission we share with other evangelicals, but we bring emphases which we believe important, but not widely available in this area.

We believe man's ultimate purpose is to glorify and enjoy God. We are committed to reverently worship God as He has prescribed. We believe that true worship produces a positive experience in the worshipper, but the search for a positive experience must never be allowed to subvert true worship.

We are committed to systematic, verse-by-verse, exposition of God's word so that we faithfully proclaim the whole counsel of God.

We are committed to promoting daily, family prayer and worship among our members and to assisting parents in raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

We are committed to the holiness of God's church and discipline that seeks to glorify God, restore the sinner, admonish those similarly tempted, and maintain the reputation of Christ's church.

We are committed to evangelism that seeks to call people to repentance and new life in Jesus Christ. In a challenging environment, we trust in the power of God's Word and Spirit to change others' hearts as He has our own.
